Dr. Jason Tibbels is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality care and improved health outcomes for Teladoc Health. Under his leadership, the organization has set the standard for clinical quality in virtual care through extensive improvement methodologies, clinical research and other initiatives to deliver sustained excellence.
Dr. Tibbels is the co-founder and president of The Institute for Patient Safety and Quality of Virtual Care, the first nationally recognized Patient Safety Organization dedicated to quality improvement in the virtual setting. He is also a member of the Taskforce on Telehealth Policy, convened by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, the Alliance for Connected Care and the American Telemedicine Association. Additionally, he frequently provides virtual care subject matter expertise across the country for government entities, regulatory bodies, healthcare organizations and media.
Dr. Tibbels is a practicing family physician in Decatur, Texas. He is an Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his residency training in family medicine in Waco, Texas.
