Teladoc receives NCQA recertification
Continues to be the first and only telehealth company to achieve NCQA certification in any category
Lewisville, TX (June 26, 2015) – Teladoc, the nation’s first and largest telehealth provider, announced it has received recertification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for physician credentialing and recredentialing, scoring 100 percent for the second time. Teladoc first received NCQA certification in June 2013 and after an audit in April 2015, Teladoc received recertification. The seal is a reliable indicator that an organization is well-managed and delivers high quality care and service. Teladoc remains the only telehealth company in the U.S. to earn this credentialing certification, further solidifying its position as an industry leader whose primary focus is to provide high-quality care to its members.
To acquire NCQA accreditation, health plans and providers face a rigorous set of more than 60 standards and must report on performance in more than 40 areas in order to earn NCQA’s seal of approval. These standards promote the adoption of strategies that the NCQA believes will improve care, enhance service and reduce costs.
