  • The Weight Management Program helps members build healthier habits with connected tools, personal insights and expert coaching.  

    • Members receive a connected scale that automatically uploads weight readings to the app  
    • Coaching and guidance help with nutrition, activity and daily routines
    • All program features are provided at no cost for eligible members

  • You can join if you are eligible through your employer, health plan or healthcare provider and meet the program criteria.  

    • Members who are pregnant or have a BMI that is too low may not qualify.
    • Members with diabetes may qualify for Weight Management but not the Diabetes Prevention Program.  
    • Spouses and dependents may be eligible based on your benefit.
    • If you’re unsure about eligibility, you can check online or contact support.  
    • Covered by many of the largest in-network health plans—including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Centene, Elevance Health and UnitedHealthcare. Services are based on your individual coverage. Learn more about your eligibility by completing the registration process.

    • Your employer, health plan or healthcare provider covers the full cost
    • Shipping and program materials are included
    • You will not receive a bill for participating
    • Sometimes insurance may send an explanation of benefits, but it is not a bill

    • The scale uploads readings automatically to the app and does not require Wi-Fi

  • After enrolling, you’ll receive a Welcome Kit with the tools you need to start your journey.

  • You do not have to use the app, but it helps you get more out of the program.

  • Only you, your Teladoc Health team, and other people involved in your care and care coordination can see your readings.

    • Your employer or health plan cannot view your individual results.
    • You can request that Teladoc Health share your readings directly with your doctor.

  • Most members weigh themselves daily or several times a week, but your coach can suggest what works best for you, if you choose to work with one.

  • GLP-1 FAQs

    • GLP-1 medications for weight loss may be available only to members who have access to an eligible program and receive clinical approval from a Teladoc Health provider.  

      • Teladoc Health providers do not prescribe GLP-1 medications for weight loss to members enrolled in Diabetes Management or Hypertension Management programs.
      • Members must be enrolled in an eligible program, such as the Weight Management Program or Diabetes Prevention Program, to be considered.  
      • Access to these programs depends on whether they are offered through the member’s employer, health plan or other sponsor.  
      • A Teladoc Health provider must determine that a GLP-1 medication is clinically appropriate for the member.
