Fitbit is moving to a new system run by Google. The old way Fitbit shared data with other apps will shut down in October 2026. Starting in November, Fitbit will no longer send data straight to the Teladoc Health app.
Yes. Your Fitbit device and the Fitbit app will keep working like normal. This change only affects how your Fitbit data gets to the Teladoc Health app.
Set up a new connection in two steps. Your Fitbit data will now go through your phone’s health app.
Connect Fitbit to your phone’s health app. Open the Fitbit app and turn on sharing with Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android). Follow the steps on the screen.
Share your data with Teladoc Health. Open the Teladoc Health app and connect to Apple Health or Health Connect. Allow access to steps and activity.
You may need a Google account to use the Fitbit app. If you still log in with an older Fitbit account, move it to a Google account first. You can do this in the Fitbit app.
Your steps and activity from Fitbit will stop showing up in the Teladoc Health app. Keep syncing your Fitbit in the Fitbit app so your data is saved. Once you finish both steps, your data can start syncing again.
Yes. The Teladoc Health app counts any steps you share through Apple Health or Health Connect. This includes steps from Apple Watch, Garmin, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Oura, and many other devices and apps. If you use more than one, the app will keep counting steps even if one stops syncing.
