This air‑fried tofu is a quick way to turn a simple block of tofu into something crisp, savory and satisfying. A soy‑based marinade and smoky spice coating help the cubes develop deep flavor. The air fryer delivers that irresistible golden exterior without extra fuss. It’s an easy protein that works well in bowls or salads or with your favorite dipping sauce.

Preparation

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Press tofu to remove excess water, then cut into 1-inch cubes. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce and 1 Tbsp olive oil.
  3. Add tofu cubes to the bowl and toss gently to coat.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix garlic powder, smoked paprika and black pepper.
  5. Lightly coat each tofu cube with the spice mixture.
  6. Drizzle remaining 1 Tbsp olive oil over tofu cubes and toss lightly to evenly coat and help crispiness.
  7. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange tofu cubes in a single layer.
  8. Air fry for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even crispness.
  9. Remove and serve warm.
