This quick stir-fry brings takeout-style flavor to your table in less time than delivery. Lean sirloin and broccoli are combined in a savory garlic-ginger sauce for a balanced, protein-rich meal. A simple, better-for-you option for busy weeknights.

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together low-sodium soy sauce, rice vinegar, water, honey, cornstarch, salt and red pepper flakes, if using. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add beef slices and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove beef and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes until tender-crisp, adding a splash of water if needed to steam.
  6. Return beef to the skillet and pour the sauce over the mixture. Stir well to coat and cook an additional 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens and beef is cooked through.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
