Healthier peppermint mocha latte

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients 

  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee (or 1 espresso shot) 
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder 
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp peppermint extract 

Preparation

In a small saucepan over a low flame, heat the almond milk. Add in sugar, cocoa powder, and peppermint extract. Whisk until combined. Whisk vigorously for 1 minute until frothy. Or, if you have a milk frother, froth the mixture. Add the mixture to the coffee and stir.
