2 healthy drinks to start the day

Sometimes we need a quick beverage in the morning to help us wake up. Coffee is the common choice. But maybe you want an alternative or an additional beverage for your morning. Here are two of our favorite morning beverage recipes. They will help you start your day the healthy way.

Tropical green smoothie

Makes 1 serving | Prep: 3 min | Cook: 1 min

Ingredients

  • ½ cup frozen pineapple
  • ½ frozen banana
  • ½ cup baby spinach
  • ¼ cup light coconut milk
  • ¼ cup coconut water (or plain water)

Preparation

Place ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat milk, or other milk/non-dairy milk
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cardamom
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp maple syrup

Preparation 

Whisk ingredients together in a small saucepan over low heat until heated through and frothy. If you have a milk frother, use that!
