One of the best things about Teladoc Health is the 24/7 access for your eligible family members wherever they are.* No more waiting days or weeks for an office visit when your child has the sniffles. If you haven’t already added your dependents, the process is quick and easy.

Who qualifies as a dependent?

While the requirements may vary based on your specific plan, most plans do allow you to use Teladoc Health for your spouse or partner, children, and care recipients. If you’re caring for parents or other adult family members, you may be able to add them even if they aren't covered by your insurance or company-provided benefits.

How do I add them to my account?

In the app: After logging in, tap on Medical Info in the drop-down menu in the upper left corner, then tap “Add new.”

On the web: After logging in, select My Family on the menu across the top of your screen, click on My Dependents in the drop-down menu, then click on Add New Dependent.

Enter the following information for each person:

  • Relationship
  • First and last name
  • Birthdate
  • Gender
  • Preferred language
  • Phone number
  • Email address

On the app, tap Continue. On the web, click the Add New Dependent button.

Your new dependents will receive confirmation emails with three simple steps to set up their accounts online.

That’s it! Go ahead and add your family members now, and they’ll be all set to receive quality care by Teladoc Health’s extensive network of highly experienced, licensed healthcare pboard-certified doctors. Also, if you haven’t already done so, be sure to update your account and select the most convenient pharmacy near you using our convenient pharmacy search tool.

*Availability of this benefit depends on the plan that your employer or healthcare provider selects.
