Manage the cost of GLP-1 drugs through our discounted self-pay option

GLP-1 medications for weight loss can be costly—even if your insurance covers some of it. There may be a more affordable way to pay for your GLP-1 medication. Teladoc Health care providers can now send GLP-1 prescriptions for weight loss to pharmacies that offer discounted pricing, like LillyDirect and NovoCare.   

Here’s what you need to know about it: 

• You cannot use your insurance and get reduced pricing. If you want to pay for your medication at a reduced price, you’re responsible for the cost. 

• What you pay does not count toward your deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.

• It’s possible that you may end up paying more through self-pay over time than what you might pay through insurance. Consider what you’ll pay monthly through self-pay versus what you’ll pay before and after you reach your deductible through insurance. 

• You may be able to pay with your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

• Your medication will be shipped directly to you. You won’t pick it up at your regular pharmacy.
