CLIENT SUCCESS STORY

Gallagher and Teladoc Health partner to expand care access for a local government workforce

  Key takeaways

To help the North Carolina Health Insurance Pool (NCHIP) serve its multigenerational workforce, Gallagher and Teladoc Health partnered on a coordinated virtual care strategy, pairing Gallagher's benefits guidance with Teladoc Health's virtual support solutions to expand access, improve outcomes and drive measurable savings across NCHIP's 43 member organizations and 19,000 lives.

Results since partnering with Teladoc Health:

  • 85% of members with uncontrolled diabetes reduced A1c after 6 months1
  • 79% with uncontrolled hypertension maintained or improved blood pressure1
  • 77% of members with prediabetes lost >3% total body weight1
  • +68 NPS across all services1
  • +$1.9M combined net savings across all solutions in 20252

Results that matter

Among members with uncontrolled diabetes, 62% got their condition under control within six months, with sustained improvement averaging a 1.9% A1c reduction over 1.5 years.1 Each 1.5% reduction is associated with roughly $4,477 in savings per member over three years.3 Connected devices, digital coaching and personalized programs helped guide members toward timely, relevant care decisions.

Care that meets employees where they are

When NCHIP added virtual primary care in July 2025, 21% of eligible employees registered within six months, and 54% of participants hadn't seen a primary care provider in two years.1 Appointments were available in under three days, and nearly a quarter of eligible members said they would have skipped care altogether without this access.1
