Simple, do-anywhere moves for downtime!

Make exercise more fun by pairing it with another activity.

These exercises are great for when you’re watching TV, listening to an audiobook, waiting for food to cook, or just hanging out! Do as many as you want of a single exercise below, or try a few of each. Give your body a boost while giving your mind a break during downtime.

1. Squats

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and keep your back straight as you lower your hips back and down. Keep most of your weight in your heels.

2. Plank

Place your elbows below your shoulders and either clasp your hands or press them into the floor. Lift your hips off the floor and either keep your knees down or tuck your toes and lift your knees. Keep your hips from sinking.

3. Stationary lunge

Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Take a big step forward with one foot, keeping your back toes down. Bend and lower your back knee, then press through your front heel to straighten both legs. Do the same number of reps on both sides.

4. Downward dog

From a plank position on your hands and toes, press the floor down and forward to lift your hips into an upside-down V shape. Bend one knee then the other or be still.
