’Tis the season for cozy and comforting breakfasts. This simple oatmeal recipe is filled with fiber and warm winter spices.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Bring milk to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir in oats and reduce heat to medium. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  2. Once the oatmeal has thickened, turn the heat to low. Stir in brown sugar, molasses, vanilla extract, ground ginger, cinnamon, allspice and clove. Cook for an additional minute. 
  3. Remove from heat and transfer oatmeal to a bowl. Top with chopped pecans.
